The importance of staff engagement - the extent to which employees are emotionally attached or passionate about their work and loyal to their organization - cannot be overstated when seeking to create a culture of continual improvement. In addition to including staff at all levels in QI strategies, as addressed under the subcategory of Quality Improvement, creating compelling communication systems and instituting an executive rounding program can amplify staff engagement with this project.
