Implement policies and systems so patients do not encounter financial barriers to discontinuing a contraceptive method and, if desired, obtaining another method.
Verify that procedure codes commonly used for contraceptive counseling and care are accurate and up-to-date in the health center’s EHR or superbill/encounter form.
Identify requirements for billing each payer for contraceptive services and establish revenue cycle processes that align with these requirements.
